In the no-rules world of online media, populated by fake news, lives Vivian Vera, an ambitious and notoriously bitchy news field reporter. Right now, everything is rosy for Vivian: she is next in line to being top reporter; she has lifted her mother Monica, from poverty; she even has a FUBU, her new cameraman, Jasper. But Vivian faces a difficult assignment: a face-to-face interview with Ernesto, a newly released convict, from a crime she exposed years ago - the heinous massacre of slum dwellers, years back.
The terrifying situation triggers something in Vivian: she begins to see the victims as ghosts, disfigured, half-buried in concrete, threatening to harm her. One by one, she witnesses the ghosts kill everyone who participated in the expose: Benjie, her ex-boyfriend, also her erstwhile cameraman; Armando, the husband of one of the victims; even the interviewee Ernesto himself - all die through gruesome means. But why are the ghosts oppressing her? Did she have a hand in the massacre, too?
Or perhaps nothing is supernatural, all of it, just in her mind, fueled by guilt? Vivian forgets events, feels time warping, and blurts out secrets. Are the tormenting ghosts causing her mental illness? Or are they merely symptoms of dementia, slowly progressing? Vivian begins to distrust her own truth.

Vivian eventually believes that she is cursed by the victim’s family. She is next to die, unless she admits her untold “crime,” plus all the other untold “crimes” she committed, as she claws her way to the top. Vivian turns out to have been killed before, just to get the scoop! We thus learn that our lead protagonist is actually our arch villain. Vivian’s final dilemma: admit her sins and let the ensuing scandal ruin her…or die. Vivian chooses to fight with all her might.
