  2. Secure your seats early! You can book your tickets as long as the movie title and showtime are reflected on our website, app and at the box office. Please note that bookings via website and app will still require collection of tickets in order for entry to the hall.

  3. “No Free List” movies are accompanied by an asterisk ( * ).

  4. All transactions once completed and confirmed are not exchangeable or refundable under any circumstances. No refunds or exchanges will be entertained if you do not turn up to collect your tickets.

    If your booking is made via third party websites or mobile apps, we will not be held liable for any errors.

  5. Yes you may change for the date/time as long as it is made at least 2 hours before the movie showtime you originally booked for. This is subject to seat availability of the movie and/or showtime that you want to change to. You are not able to change movie outlets e.g from AMK Hub to JEM.

    Do note that there’ll however be a fee of $1.50 (per transaction and limited to a maximum of 10 tickets).

    For Platinum Movie Suites, the swop fee is $5 per transaction.

  6. Make changes for date/time directly at the box office of the Cineplex where you had booked your tickets for, at least 2 hours before the movie showtime you originally booked for. Our friendly Customer Service fella will assist you accordingly. There will be a fee of $1.50 (per transaction and limited to a maximum of 10 tickets) imposed on all changes. For Platinum Movie Suites, the fee is $5 per transaction.

    Do note that this is subjected to seats availability of the movie and/or showtime that you want to change to.

  7. Tickets need to be purchased if your child is above 0.9m in height. A child below the above mentioned height can enter for free but will not be entitled to have a seat to himself/ herself.

  13. Operating hours of our box office varies from one Cineplex to another. Box office counters open one hour before the first show time and closes half an hour after the last show time of the day.

    However, the general operational hours across all Cathay Cineplexes is between 12pm to 10pm.

  14. Only food and beverages bought from Cathay Cineplexes Cinesnax (i.e. our F&B counters) can be allowed into our theatres. Our staff reserves the right to have your external F&B items to be kept at the usher point.

  15. No reprinting nor replacement is allowed for lost of movie tickets or receipts. We only allow entry to our cinema hall upon presentation of original movie ticket and claim of F&B upon presentation of original F&B receipt.

    Yes. Causeway Point is the only Cathay Cinplex with flat ground and slopes along the corridoors and inside all halls. There is no wheelchair spot available in any of the halls but as the aisle of the halls are all flat ground, it is easy for the patrons in wheelchai to move around and park. Customers are advised to book the seats closest to the aisle for easier access.

    Yes. Upon request at the usher point, staff will assist the customer via a special route. There is no designated wheelchair spot for booking, but there are spaces for wheelchairs to be parked (except for Hall 8 where there is no space available). In order for the customer in wheelchair to purchase a ticket, our staff will assign a commercial single seat for sale at the front rows. The wheelchair spots are located at the front of the hall on the left and right side (2 each) of the middle section of the seats. However, if the hall is fully booked, we are unable to accomodate this special request.   Total no of wheelchair spots: 4

  17. We've optimized seating arrangements so that patrons that come in groups do not need to sit separately, especially during peak periods. Please approach our Box Office staff if further assistance is required.

  18. There's a cap to the number of tickets you can book online due to security reasons for credit card purchases. Please make more than 1 online transaction if you require more than 10 tickets.

  19. Unfortunately, not all English language movies come with English subtitles. The information (language/ subtitle) can be found under SHOWTIMES.

ONLINE BOOKING

  1. Cost to screen a “Blockbuster” movie is much higher due to increased expenses in film rental and print security issues. These costs are extended to Movie Exhibitors from the Movie Distributors that are bringing in these films.

    Ticket prices for “Blockbuster” movies will need to be adjusted in order for us to screen more of your favorite “Blockbuster” movies.

  2. According to Wikipedia, a blockbuster film is defined as “a high-budget production aimed at mass markets, with associated merchandising, on which the financial fortunes of film studio or distributor depended” but we know how accurate Wikipedia is.

    This is how a blockbuster is defined as; the film will need to meet at least 2 of the definition below:

    • A film with A-Listers and/or Director

    • With all the big names in the film, naturally there will be a larger production budget because their pay would have taken up a portion of the budget.

    • Part of a successful film franchise. Think Star Wars, Fast & Furious, Hunger Games and all your other favourite sequels.

    • Opening date in Singapore to be similar with USA (Hollywood titles) or Hong Kong / China (Mandarin titles) 

  3. Please note that our weekly schedules for online and box offices are generally updated between Wednesdays to Thursdays of the same week that the movie is opening, for the showtimes for Thursdays onwards, and/or updated again on Thursdays, for the showtimes from Friday onwards etc. Sometimes for special movie titles that allows advanced bookings, the schedules are updated earlier but this is on a case-by-case basis. 

    P.S Do note that we do not provide our movie schedules to any other third party websites.

Total ticket cost, including booking fees, is detailed in your shopping basket prior to confirming of your booking.

  8. Booking fees cover the costs associated with administration, development and maintenance required on the software which is necessary to bring the convenience of booking your seats early online.

    This fee do not apply when you purchase your tickets at the Box Office.

  10. All credit card discounts, movie gift vouchers, complimentary passes and promotions are not applicable with online bookings.

  11. You can book up to 10 tickets per transaction, and perform as many transactions as you wish. Do note that a non-refundable booking fee of $1.50 is chargeable per transaction. 

  12. Your tickets are immediately available for collection at the box office of the Cineplex that you had booked your tickets for upon completion of your booking, and receiving of the confirmation.

    For security reasons, the cardholder must be present to collect the tickets. You will need to bring along the email confirmation(s) or booking reference number(s). Please note that the management reserves the right to request for the cardholder's identification for verification purposes.

  13. No, credit card is not required for collection of tickets at the box office. Both email confirmation(s) and booking reference number(s) are accepted.

  14. Yes, the booking system works via eNets and your credit/ debit card will be charged immediately upon confirmation of booking. No changes/ cancellations/ refunds will be entertained should you not collect your tickets before your movie showtime.  

  15. Your credit/ debit card is charged once you click the “Purchase” button. Adding items to your shopping cart does not result in your credit/ debit card being charged, clicking the “Purchase” button does.

  10. To change the date/time of your originally booked movie, there is a fee of $5.00 (per transaction and limited to a maximum of 10 tickets). You can only make changes to your booking by going directly to the box office of the Cineplex where you had booked your tickets; changes must be done at least 2 hours before the movie showtime that you had originally booked for. This is subject to seats availability of the movie and/or showtime that you want to change to.

    No changes can be made after the movie that you originally booked has started and all tickets and booking fees are non-refundable. No changes can be made for the location, for e.g. JEM to The Cathay.

3D MOVIES

  1. We want you to enjoy the most immersive movie experiences! To ensure quality presentation of the 3D movies, higher investment costs are incurred in the equipment, manpower and service and equipment maintenance.

    This is also a price model adapted from countries who already showcase 3D movies as a permanent feature i.e. USA, Australia.

  2. Approach our usher at the back of the hall to have it changed before the start of the main feature.

  3. Our 3D glasses are available in both kids and adults’ sizes.

  4. If you feel ill watching the movie, remove your 3D glasses, close and relax your eyes. Should you require further assistance, please leave the hall and approach any of our ushers stationed just outside the hall.

  5. We will address incidents on a case-by-case basis. The company policy would be to not facilitate a refund if there were no inherent faults in the presentation from a technical or service provision perspective as patrons are free to leave the hall should the 3D effects not sit well with them.

  6. Yes, we welcome children below the age of 3 too! However, parent/guardian will need to purchase a separate admission ticket for the child.

  7. Yes, movie aficionados can look forward to designer and movie-themed collectible 3D glasses if available for purchase. 

  8. With personal RealD 3D glasses, you will be able to enjoy 3D movies in hygienic comfort!

    You can reuse your pair of glasses up to 10 times in any 3D halls at Cathay Cineplexes by simply bringing the pair along on your subsequent visits. 3D movie ticket prices at Cathay Cineplexes are thus made more affordable as compared to other cinema operators in Singapore when you reuse your RealD 3D glasses.
